    Sixty percent of the annual income from the Fund will be used for the general operating expenses of the University. Forty percent of the annual income from the Fund shall be added to the corpus of the Fund.

    Eighty percent of the income from the fund is to be used for the professional library resources of students with preference given to upper level students enrolled in professional church worker programs. Any unused funds in a given year will be available in future years. The remaining twenty percent of the income from the fund shall be added to the principal of the fund. A committee from the university Department of Religion and Theology will (1) determine awards and eligible recipients by September 1st of each year, (2) inform the recipients of their eligibility, and (3) set up a process with the recipients and the university business office allowing the recipients to receive reimbursement for their purchases up to the maximum of their award.

    Eighty percent of the annual interest is to be used for scholarships for students. The donor prefers, but does not require, recipients to meet the following criteria: financial need and from St. Paul, MN. The scholarship is renewable in subsequent years provided the recipient meets the criteria of the Fund. Twenty percent of the annual income shall be reinvested in the principal.

    To be used in the current year of the student’s scholarship program for those students entering into the pre-seminary, teaching, director of Christian education or director of evangelism ministry. Any residue be reinvested into the Minnesota South District Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod Church Extension Fund in the highest earning savings investment program they are offering at the time.

    Fifty percent of the income is to be used for students involved in an outreach or mission program through the Oswald Hoffmann School of Christian Outreach leading to full-time professional ministry. The remaining fifty percent of the income is to be used for the program budget of the Oswald Hoffmann School of Christian Outreach which supports outreach preparation for the church-at-large.
