- Create a “named” fund which is vested, with a portion of the earnings awarded annually
- Based on donor-set criteria
- Minimum level = $50,000, to be fully-funded within five years
- A minimally funded endowment, at current spending rate, will generate a $2,000 scholarship annually
- Often fully-funded through an estate plan, many individuals choose to also establish a current use-annual scholarship for immediate impact
