    Concordia St. Paul, at its discretion, will according to the university’s approved spending policy provide funds to provide scholarships to students who have declared a science major, who have completed at least two years of their undergraduate studies, and who are involved in scientific research within the science program. Science program leadership are encouraged to recommend candidate(s) to financial aid.

    For a period of about ten years, the net income of the fund was to be used for scholarships for students in the five fields of study in which CSP (then Concordia College) was awarding Bachelor of Arts degrees. Twenty years after the legacy is received, the principal of the Fund may also be used for scholarships.

    The donors have established the term endowment fund to pay the annual premiums of the Pamela Bonine life insurance contract that CSP is the owner and beneficiary of. Insurance benefits are to be designated to the Prof. Friedrich E. and Ann A. Brauer Scholarship Endowment.

    Until the Fund reaches $30,000, the annual income from the Fund will be added to the principal of the Fund. When the Fund reaches $30,000, eighty percent of the income is to be used for scholarships for students who demonstrate financial need and are enrolled in programs leading to full time professional church work. Twenty percent of the income shall be added to the corpus of the Fund.

    The income is to be used for a scholarship for a preministerial student from Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield, Wisconsin. If this is not possible, the scholarship may be awarded to a preministerial student who is a member of an LCMS congregation in the North Wisconsin District. If this is not possible, the scholarship may be awarded to any preministerial student attending Concordia. Under no circumstances should anyone disclose the source of the fund.
