Jeanetta Searcy-Cooper, M.A. ’21, Ed.D ’24 and Cameron Cooper, DPT ’18 moved back home to Texas after 10 years living in Minnesota.

Connie Christianson
Connie Christianson, ’24 returned to school in her 50s to complete the Business Administration program at Concordia University, St. Paul—an experience that built confidence and opened new doors. She has since worked as a business consultant on a major healthcare project and continues to take on dynamic, growth-oriented work.

Juantia Colbert
Juantia Colbert, B.A. ’20, M.A. ’23 is now a special education teacher in a public school after previously serving as a lead teacher at a public charter school. She also earned her Master’s in Family Science and launched her own business as a certified family life educator, offering workshops to support families.

Julie Butler
Julie Butler, B.A. ’04, M.A. ’08 celebrates 22 years with the State of Minnesota, where she oversees enterprise training in the Inspector General’s Background Studies Division. She also serves as an Academic Advisor for Minnesota State University–Mankato and was recently elected to the Middle Management Association Board, where she supports scholarships and leadership programming.

Mishayla Jones
Mishayla Jones, B.A. ’17, M.A. ’19 serves in a leadership role at Apple where she has been working for five years. She enjoys turning creators into doers and inspiring customers to use Apple products for their imagination.

Gerald Grimm
Gerald, J.C. ’63 and Lillian Grimm celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in June. Both of their sons and three grandchildren also live in the Detroit, Mich. area.

George Krueger, J.C. ’58 passed away on January 7, 2026.

Brenda Schmidt, J.C. ’62 passed away on December 31, 2025.

Sonja Steele
Sonja (Nitti) Steele, B.A. ’96 will welcome her first grandchild in November 2026, looks forward to celebrating her son’s marriage in fall of 2026, and asks for prayers as her oldest son awaits a kidney transplant.

Kevin, B.A. ’84 and Gail Pattain celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on June 14, 2026.
