Laurence Meyer, H.S. ’58, J.C. ’60 noted his 60th anniversary of ordination. During his years of ministry, he served as pastor of St. Peter’s and Bethlehem Lutheran Churches, Waterville-Elysian, Minn.; Emanuel Lutheran Church and School, Hamburg, Minn., and Redeemer Lutheran Church, Richland, Wash., where he is currently Visitation Pastor. During the 23 years as pastor, he was Vicarage Supervisor of 23 Vicars. He also served as Editor of Minnesota South Lutheran, Chairman of Minnesota South District Public Relations, and Pastoral Advisor to Minnesota South Lutheran Laymen’s League. In the Northwest District, he served for 18 years as Inland Empire Vice President on the District Board of Directors. During those years, he served various terms as Chairman of the Property Management Committee, including LCEF matters and the Communications Committee. He also chaired the Task Force for Implementing Ministry Services for reorganizing the District’s governmental reorganization. In retirement, he has served regional congregations with pastoral vacancies.
