Sylvester

For Sylvester Togba, Concordia University, St. Paul is more than just a place to earn a degree; it’s a supportive community that’s helping him achieve his dreams. As an African American, first-generation college student alongside his two brothers, Sylvester is charting a new path for his family.

Sylvester, a member of the Class of 2026, is majoring in Exercise Science. Drawn to CSP’s strong Exercise Science program, he knew this was the right place for him. “Everyone in the program is well-connected, and it prepares you well for further education,” he says.

His aspirations don’t stop at graduation. Sylvester plans to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy and eventually start his own PT business. His time at CSP is equipping him with the skills and knowledge to make that vision a reality.

Sylvester speaks highly of CSP’s campus culture, describing it as a close-knit, supportive family. “Campus culture is nice. Everyone at CSP is a big family,” he shares. This environment has had a profound impact on his college experience, helping him build meaningful connections and grow personally and professionally.

One of the most valuable lessons Sylvester has learned at CSP is teamwork and effective communication—skills he knows will be essential in his future career.

Sylvester is also deeply grateful for the generous support of CSP’s donors, which has played a vital role in his educational journey.
“Thank you. I am grateful for your generosity; you are making it possible for me to accomplish my dreams.”

With CSP’s resources, supportive environment, and exceptional academic programs, Sylvester is on track to achieve his goals and inspire others.
