For Andrew Sciesinski, attending Concordia University, St. Paul, is more than just an academic pursuit—it’s a continuation of a lifelong commitment to faith-based education. As a Lutheran and lifelong member of the LCMS, Andrew knew CSP was the right place for him to grow academically and spiritually.
“I chose CSP because I can receive a quality education in a Christian environment,” Andrew shares. “I grew up in an LCMS elementary and middle school, and I wish to continue in the Lutheran educational system because I know how much quality is given in the education.”
Andrew, a Florida native, is pursuing his undergraduate degree with plans to attend law school and specialize in business law. His hard work and dedication extend beyond academics—he has been recognized for his efforts at Publix, where he works in the seafood and meat department. His strong work ethic has earned him promotions and the ability to support his family.
“It makes me proud to have my effort recognized by those above me, especially after putting in a lot of work. I’m happy to use my employment to support my family at home and do my best to be a good son and brother.”
Beyond his academic and professional goals, Andrew is passionate about broadening his horizons. He is currently teaching himself German and hopes to study abroad in Germany during his undergraduate years or in law school.
Throughout his journey at CSP, one lesson stood out to Andrew above all others’ gratitude. He deeply resonates with the university’s motto: “Litteris proficere volo malo diligere Jesum”—”It is good to be proficient in knowledge, but better to know Jesus.”
“I believe that everything we have is a blessing from God, and we must not receive blessings without proper thanks. That is why I need to thank those who have made financial aid possible for students like me. It is important to be thankful and to learn thankfulness.”
As he continues his education at CSP, Andrew looks forward to strengthening his faith, building new connections, and preparing for a future where he can use his knowledge and dedication to make a difference in the legal field.
