For Abigail Flomo, Concordia University, St. Paul, has been more than just a place of learning—it has been a home where she has grown in faith, leadership, and purpose. As a Christian Ministry major focusing on becoming a Director of Christian Education (DCE), Abigail is currently completing her internship at Hope Lutheran Church in Des Moines, Iowa.
“I am so excited to be putting into practice all that I have learned in class,” Abigail shares. “This experience has greatly encouraged me to pursue my dream of becoming a DCE.”
Choosing CSP was an easy decision for Abigail. She was drawn to the university’s strong sense of community and its commitment to faith-based education.
“CSP is not just a university, but a place to build lifelong relationships. The professors genuinely care about their students, and I love being able to learn about and share my faith with the people around me.”
Her journey at CSP has been filled with meaningful moments, but one that stands out is prayer time in the campus chapel with her best friends.
“I had never done anything like that before, and it was such a powerful experience. Having a space like the prayer chapel on campus has been such a blessing.”
Throughout her time at CSP, Abigail has learned valuable lessons that will stay with her long after graduation. One of the most important?
“To always be proud of who you are. My faith is a core part of my identity, and I appreciate that I can live it out proudly here.”
As she prepares to complete her degree, Abigail looks forward to stepping fully into her calling. She hopes to serve in a church community, leading Bible studies, organizing youth programs, and helping others grow in their faith. With the support of CSP’s faculty, friends, and generous donors, she is ready to make a lasting impact on the lives of others.
