The Opportunity Fund

Concordia University, St. Paul celebrates servicing over 5,700 students, each arriving with big dreams and bold potential. Nearly one-third of our undergraduates are first-generation college students, and almost half rely on Pell Grants or state aid, yet many still face a financial gap that can stand between them and their calling. That’s where donor support becomes life-changing, bridging the divide between what students have and what they need to thrive.
Last year, generous donors contributed more than $2 million to the Opportunity Fund, strengthening the very heart of the CSP experience. By fueling vital programs and campus projects, including student scholarships, expanded classrooms in Ries Tower, the installation of an innovative Electronic Anatomy Lab, and the launch of a new 90-credit, three-year bachelor’s degree that lowers the time and cost of earning a degree, the Opportunity Fund makes a CSP education distinctive. More than opening doors, it inspires students to dream bigger, reach higher, and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
Every gift to the Opportunity Fund contributes to the success of the Elevate the Promise campaign, directly fueling student aspirations and accomplishments. Below, you’ll find how these funds are typically allocated.

"The support of donors has been an incredible blessing, allowing me to study in an environment where I can connect with professors and peers while growing academically. Before CSP, I didn’t know how I would pursue my education, but thanks to generous donors, I’m gaining the skills and confidence to step out of my comfort zone, make new friends, and prepare for a career as a financial advisor or analyst. I am so grateful for this opportunity and for your investment in my journey."

"Thanks to the donors for their incredible support! Their generosity has lightened my financial burden and allowed me to focus fully on my journey to become a health and physical education teacher. At CSP, I’ve found a community that challenges me to grow, personally and professionally, and I can’t wait to use what I’ve learned to promote wellness and resilience in the lives of young students."
