Raising Bilingual Bambini

Eric Dregni will join Krista Schweppe, Angela “Johanna” Schneider, and Cliff “Benoit” Schwartz at Norway House for a panel on language acquisition, and to celebrate the launch of his new book, Raising Bilingual Bambini: The Art of Immersing Our Family in La Dolce Vita.

After living in Modena, Italy, for three years, Eric Dregni and his wife, Katy, dreamt of returning one day—future children in tow—to give their kids the experience of living abroad. When their children arrive, they raise them in a bilingual household and eventually move to Florence for three months of gelato, art, and learning to argue like real Italians. Raising Bilingual Bambini is Dregni’s heartfelt story about family and finding a home in a new place.

“Raising Bilingual Bambini is a hilarious, moving account of trying to instill a second language in your children. Eric Dregni’s story will resonate with anyone who has tried to learn a language, fallen in love with another culture, or attempted to raise children. It’s a tale of family travel that will resonate with parents everywhere.”
