The income is to be used for scholarships for students with financial need who are preparing for church work.

The income is to be used for scholarships for students enrolled in the pre-ministerial program leading to full-time professional ministry in the LCMS.

Carroll E. and Helen L. (Bierwagen) Peter Endowed Scholarship
The Donors prefer funds be awarded to students with demonstrated financial need, pursuing a full-time professional career in Lutheran church work. In the event there exists a lack of need for the above provision, funds will be awarded to full-time students at Concordia University, St. Paul with general financial aid needs.

W.A. and Justine Poehler Alumni Scholarship Endowment
Concordia St. Paul, at its, discretion, will award scholarship funds according to the university’s approved spending policy to students enrolled at the university in high academic standing with financial need. The donor’s preference is to award scholarship of at least $1000 and with at least one-half of the recipients enrolled in a church work program.
