
After more than two decades of extraordinary leadership, Lee Pao Xiong, the founding Director of the Center for Hmong Studies, departed Concordia University, St. Paul.
Lee Pao has been a visionary force in establishing the Center as a national and international hub for Hmong history, culture, and research. Under his direction, the Center has hosted global conferences, developed extensive archival collections and exhibits, and strengthened Concordia’s reputation as a leader in intercultural understanding. His advocacy and scholarship have advanced not only the mission of the Center but also the broader conversation on identity, migration, and belonging in higher education.
In his next chapter, Lee Pao will serve as the Vice President of Strategy and External Affairs at Keystone Community Partners, where he will continue to draw on his deep expertise in government and community relations to build meaningful partnerships and advance civic engagement.
