Alumni Distinguished Service Award

Nominations for 2027 will open in March 2027

The Alumni Distinguished Service Award allows Concordia University, St. Paul to recognize its alumni who are exceptionally accomplished in their fields of endeavor. They have also shown continued personal engagement and support of Concordia University, St. Paul. The Alumni Distinguished Service Award is the highest distinction awarded to alumni through its association. Candidates for this award must meet all criteria to be considered.

Eligibility

To be eligible for nomination, a person must:

  • Be a living, degreed alumnus of Concordia University or Concordia Academy (prior to 1972) when nominated (an award may be given posthumously if the recipient was living when nominated)
  • Be an alumnus/a of at least 10 years
  • An individual is only eligible for nomination in one category per awarding cycle

Criteria

To be considered for nomination, a person must:

  • Demonstrate notable commitment to the mission of Concordia University, St. Paul through leadership in the church/community/profession.
  • Demonstrate a distinguished record of faithful and exceptional service to the church/community/profession.
  • Have shown continued personal engagement and support of Concordia University, St. Paul.
  • Have distinctiveness of performance above and beyond others.
  • Have recognition from professional peers.
