Alumni Notes

The history of Concordia St. Paul is written by the lives of our alumni, so big news or small, we want to hear it all! If you have landed a promotion, welcomed a new family member, or moved to a new city, let us know by submitting an alumni note.   • Enith Bailey (Degler)

    Enith (Degler) Bailey, BA ’69 took her original call to Trinity Lutheran School Wisconsin Dells, Wisc. after summer school at CSP in 1969. She retired from teaching there after 52 years. She is still under contract to be church music director, choir director, and church organist. She continues to live in Wisconsin Dells.

    Christine Brauer, ’77 has three year old triplet grandbabies.

  • Christine Wood (Blaske)

    Christine (Blaske) Wood, BA ’79 has been blessed with 11 grandchildren. They look forward to welcoming their second great grandchild in June.

  • Janice Brech (Hansen)

    Janice (Hansen) Brech, BA ’67 has three sons: Randy (wife Amy & Brandon) of Greeley, Colo., Dale (Katie, Paige & Mia) of Tucson, Ariz., and Alex (Hilary, Kaylee & Andrew) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

  • Alberta Konadu

    Alberta Konadu, BA ’20 was hired for a full time position at a childcare facility two weeks after graduation. Her employer loved that she had work experience in Early Childhood Education.

  • Linnette Thomason (Schumacher)

    Linnette (Shumacher) Thomason, BA ’73 retired in June 2018 after 40 years of teaching. She is now enjoying her nine grandchildren and is a substitute teacher when needed. She says that life is good!

  • Patrick Bejjani

    Patrick Bejjani, BA ’19 lives in Beirut Lebanon. He shares, “This should tell a lot. My country is bankrupt, the pandemic is spreading, and we faced the word second largest explosion.     Karen Davis Platt, MA ’06 began studies in CSP’s Doctorate of Education Educational Leadership program.

  • Theresa Marty

    Theresa Starkman, MA ’10 is an adjunct faculty at Concordia and the Assistant Director of Special Services and Learning for South St. Paul Public Schools. She shares, “My experiences at Concordia University, St. Paul have greatly contributed to my success as an educator. I am honored to be both an alum and adjunct faculty!”

  • Christopher Lian

    Christopher Lian, MA ’20 shares, “I have a beautiful wife, four wonderful boys (7,5,5,3), and two dogs. I am teaching in my hometown and proud to be a Prowler.”

  • Allison Johnson (Johnson)

    Allison Pfleghaar, BA ’14 is graduating on May 2nd, 2021 from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy.
