    Donna (Helm), B.A. ’65 and Roger Kuhn, H.S. ’60 are celebrating 65 years of marriage on July 31 with their four children, twelve grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren (a fifth will be born this fall).

    Jean (Von Strohe), J.C. ’60, B.S. ’62 and Stan Hoffmeyer will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in August. They continue to serve as church organists at Trinity Lutheran, Woodway, Texas.

    Dina (Cristante), B.A. ’94 and John Matasovsky, B.A. ’99 celebrated their 30th anniversary with a trip to Italy. Dina completed her 25th year of teaching.

    Class of 1962

    Alice (Kratt), J.C. ’62, M.A. ’00 and Robert Smith, J.C. ’61 celebrated their 60th anniversary of marriage and ministry. The Bavarian Inn in their hometown of Frankenmuth, Michigan, honored them with a greeting on their sign along Main Street.

    Alhrik Schommer, B.A. ’21 and Clara Heislen, B.A. ’24 were married by Dr. Mark Koschmann, who was a professor for each of them during their CSP years.

    Barbara (Dirks), B.A. ’69 and Rev. Dennis Borchers, B.A. ’69 celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary and the 52nd year of pastoral ministry for Dennis in June 2025.

    Diane (Timm), B.A. ’69 and Jacques Merkaue celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary cruising the Mississippi from Red Wing to New Orleans.

    Lynette (Wolfe) Kindt, B.A. ’63 and her husband Warren celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in June with their family. All members of their wedding party are alive and well; including Joanne (Fuchs) Naas, J.C. ’62.

    Dennis (B.A. ’81) and Judy Hilken celebrated 43 years of marriage. They have three sons and ten grandchildren. Everyone is serving the King and living within minutes of San Diego State University.
